‘Earn your way to heaven

You can now earn your points with God through www.earnkarma.org. Just click your way to helping an NGO or a hospital that requires volunteers. The recently-launched website offers a portal for interested people to register and be of assistance to NGO’s and NPO’s.

This unique website is the brainchild of 4 friends who are currently working in the IT- Industry. They have used their expertise to form a website that can reach out to people across the globe. Ganesh, Gulshan, Siddharth and Shriram are the people behind this website. Siddharth and Ganesh are working for reputed IT Companies in Chennai. Gulshan works in California while Ganesh works from Coimbatore.

It all started with a simple telephone conversation between Siddharth and Gulshan, who is working in California. “We realised that there were no websites that could help people to volunteer and do some good. Then the 4 member team got together and launched the website,” says Siddharth.

The have tied up with Paraiyar Education Empowerment Project and the Paraiyar Kalai Iravu’08 in Chennai. These organisations require volunteers in the Community Development and Child & Youth sections.

The website allows both the volunteer and the organization to register under a particular category and location; once the organization logs in to search for volunteers they can contact them through the website and vice-versa…’
